Seema Syeda is an activist and a researcher on Islamophobia across Europe. She is based in London and is currently engaged in a multi-year research project funded by the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The project is in conjunction with “Another Europe is Possible”, which is a member-led alliance of progressive groups fighting the causes and the consequences of Brexit. Syeda is also based in Marseille, where she is Head of Communications for European Alternatives, which is an NGO that promotes democracy and equality beyond the nation-state.
